RED Lipsticks

As you guys can tell (from a few of previous posts) I have been so obsessed with bold lipsticks! Now, I am going to focus on RED lipstick and I will make another post on other bold color lipsticks. As bold colors goes, I think I owned red the most. These are some of them:

From left to right: Tom Ford Rouge a Levres #11 Crimson Noir, Chanel Rouge Allure #67 Excessive, YSL Rouge Pur Couture #14, YSL Rouge Pur Couture #20, Maybelline Color Sensational - Are You Red-dy, NARS - Manhunt, Lime Crime - Retrofuturist.

The swatches

Out of all these both Tom Ford and YSL#20 has a bluish or more cooler undertone and the rest are more warmer.
All of them are very pigmented except the NARS - Manhunt. I do not think it is worth the price! In addition, some NARS lipsticks that I owned have a very weird (not so nice) smell. However, this particular lipstick does not have that smell.
In general, Tom Ford lipstick is very long lasting. It lasted me even after I have my lunch! PLUS! they are not drying like most long-lasting lipstick usually does.

Some tips and tricks on applying bold lipstick:
- Do use lipliner! Or else it is going to get messy and bold lipstick color does stain your skin.
- Invest in a good lip-brush. Stretch your lips and apply lipstick in the the cracks of your lips.
- Blot the excess oil from the lipstick and apply a second layer on, this will make the color last longer.
- Be CONFIDENT! It is going to look weird at first because we are not used to it. I think it is nicer to have full make up on when you are putting on bold lips color.
