Monochrome featuring Paulina

Party time.. So we decide to play make-up. I did a full face on Paulina. **don't mind the pink roll**
She wanted a very natural look.

From front-side

The eye make-up

Side view
 On the eye:
   as a eyeshadow base
- Coastal Scents Single Shadow S35 *I think it's discontinued; can't find it on their site*
   all over the lid
MAC eyeshadow - Tempting
   on the crease
- Etude House Pudding Dia Shadow - Gold
on top of eye-shadow to add glitter + inner corner of the eye
L'oreal Lineur Intense - Carbon Black
   winked eyeliner
   waterline and lower lash-line

On face:
Benefit Boxed Powder - Sugarbomb
- Shiseido Lipgloss - G27

I did my sister eye make-up too. Hers was simpler than Paulina. I just put MAC eyeshadow (shade: all that glitter) all over the lid. Winked eyeliner. Some Etude House glitter on the inner corner. She has Dolly Wink false lashes on.

YSL Volupte Sheer Candy

YSL Volupte Sheer Candy #4 (Succulent Pomegranate)
Glossy Balm Crystal Color

Fancy YSL packaging..
You can see your reflection from the cap of this lipstick; no mirror needed to apply this lipstick :P

The color looks bold and scary in the tube...

... but its not as scary when its on your lips

Myself with flash photography.

I <3 this lipstick. It is very moisturizing like a Chapstick, or even better.
I always love the watermelon-y scent that YSL lip products have.
I love this particular color, and I would recommend buying bold colors (for Volupte Sheer Candy) as it looks fresh on the lips.
It is pricey. buy you'll feel fancy.

False Lashes Effect

Want to have this false lashes effect without doing eyelash extension or putting false lashes on?

Like normal asian, my lashes are SHORT and STRAIGHT!

These are the products that I used. I really want to dedicate this blog post for YSL Faux Cils mascara, and share my personal experience with this.
  1. If you want to focus on the lashes, do not wear a heavy/thick eyeliner, instead just tight-line your upper waterline.
  2. When I first bought this mascara, the formula is really really wet (and heavy) and it does not dry quick. For first time user, be mindful of this issue. It gets drier and thick after a few applications.
  3. The brush on this mascara is pretty big though it is not as big as Dior Show mascara. The brush often touches your lid, PRACTICE. I usually tilted my head up to avoid this.
  4. The key to get the effect is LAYERING. Be patient and keep brushing your lashes until you get the effect you want.
  5. This mascara is expensive, US$30. Get it when its on sale:
    • until November 2nd 2011, Sephora is having their friends & family sale - 20% off.
    • November 4th - 6th 2011, Nordstrom is having mascara madness sale - buy 2 get 1 free.

My Everyday Routine

Starting with a bare face

Applying foundation - Since I have so many foundations. I tend to switch it up almost everyday depending on my mood. However, most of the time I dont really wear foundation; just loose powder all over the face :)

I actually have filled in my brows (Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow: Smoke) - just didn't take picture of it.
Currently, I have been lining my eyes with a pencil eyeliner (MAC Eye Kohl: Smolder) then smudge and wing it with a MAC 214 brush.

I cannot live without this eyelash curler by Shu Uemura. This is by far the best that I have tried. I have used MAC, and a bunch of drugstore brands. With other brands, they always pinched my skin and it does not curled all of the lashes, but Shu never pinched my skin (okay may be once in a loooong time) and it curled almost all of my lashes.
Shu Uemura products are no longer sell in the United States of America due to the radiation effect from the Japan Tsunami. Most of Shu Uemura products are made in Japan.

Mascara!! Before I applied mascara I have to put on the Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base. This mascara base lengthen, curled (and KEEP the curl all day), and I feel like it really condition and strengthen my lashes overtime. I top it off with YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara. So far it is the best volumizing mascara ever. Since my lashes is already lengthen and curled by the mascara base, my lashes just need more volume. So, this is the best combination for me.

Finally, lipstick or lipgloss.
Again, I did not take a picture when I applied my blush. Like foundation, I always wear a different blush  and lip product everyday - depending on my mood.

AND WE ARE DONE !!!!!
